British Sailors to Be Released Today

TEHRAN, June 23 (MNA) -– Foreign Minister Kamal Kharrazi said on Wednesday that the eight British servicemen detained by the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps for entering Iranian territorial waters will be released today.

Talking to reporters along with his Lebanese counterpart, Kharrazi said that after interrogations it became clear that they had entered Iranian waters by mistake.

He said the servicemen -- six marines and two sailors –- have apologized for entering Iranian waters illegally.
