Kabul, April 11, IRNA -- A delegation, representing Afghan Joint Elections Commission, is to visit Iran on Monday to examine ways and means of registering the Iran-based Afghan refugees for voting in the upcoming presidential elections in Afghanistan.
The official in charge of press section at the Joint Elections Commission in Afghan presidential office Catherin told IRNA in Kabul that the delegation is scheduled to meet and confer with Afghan officials and organizations in charge of Afghan refugees residing in
Iran on Afghans` registration and their problems.
Catherin said another delegation had visited Pakistan last month, where it discussed with related authorities on issues related to the Pakistan-based Afghan refugees`s registration for the polling. More than 1.7 million Afghans have registered to vote in landmark democratic elections scheduled for September.
